Are you hanging out with people who will make you richer?

Recently I was on vacation with some friends exploring the coast of California at Newport Beach. There’s a nearby neighborhood we visited called Balboa Island.

Because of Balboa’s location, a home here costs many millions of dollars, even if it’s a small home. We saw prices ranging from $3 million to $8 million, which is thousands of dollars per square foot!

Here’s a picture of the lovely waterfront homes here.

While I was there I did a podcast about what my friends and I were talking about.

We loved having conversations about investing and we not only talked about where we have invested in the past, but we explored Balboa Island to educate ourselves about what has to be one of the best real estate markets in the U.S.

Not because we wanted to buy a home there now, but because we wanted to educate ourselves.

Then it hit me.

We are all multi-millionaires.

This is how millionaires spend their vacation time! Like everyone else – taking walks, boating, eating out…and doing it all while educating ourselves about the investments around us.

Looking at listings, picking up real estate flyers, even talking to a random City Council person about real estate while he was collecting signatures at the grocery store.

We were learning constantly about the local real estate market.

Jim Rohn said, “You are the average of the 5 people you hang out with.”

He’s right and without even consciously realizing it, I was hanging out with people very similar to me.

We shopped at Nordstrom Rack, not Nordstrom’s, because we have a mindset to buy quality at a discount price, just like in the book, the Millionaire Next Door.

We drove SUV’s that were non-descript, not flashy cars or new cars.

The point why I’m telling you this is, if you don’t hang around with people who think differently about money, you probably will end up being like those friends.

Sometimes the choice is to “look rich” or “be rich.”

I’d rather “be rich.”

But maybe you don’t hang around with people who help you do that?

That’s another reason I started the VIP Experience – to give you a group to hang around with who is moving forward, educating themselves and taking action to “be rich.”

Join our group and our conversation about what’s going on in the economy and where to invest now to “be rich.”
